DIKTATROLL (2026)

DIKTATROLL (2026)  (The Art of Defying Autocracy)

DIKTATROLL is an ongoing photo-based mixed-media series comprising hundreds of unique portrait works that investigate the aesthetics of power, propaganda, and authoritarian spectacle. Drawing from historical fascist dictators, contemporary political figures, and imagined pro-democracy superheroes, the series transforms its subjects into grotesque, theatrical caricatures through painted interventions layered onto AI-synthesized photographic imagery.

Oscillating between satire and political commentary, DIKTATROLL exposes the vanity, absurdity, and performative nature embedded within systems of domination, while also questioning the role of art and the responsibility of the artist in times marked by political distortion and democratic fragility. Vivid color, distortion, and irony become instruments of resistance, dismantling the mythology of authority by revealing its profoundly human vulnerability.

Created amid democratic instability and manipulated realities, the series reflects on the seductive mechanics of extremism while reclaiming the image itself as a site of dissent. In DIKTATROLL, the gesture of painting becomes both disruption and defiance — an insistence on human dignity against the machinery of fear.
